Kuta

Aquarius Star, Kuta - Tuesday 26/12/78 - cloud y & rainy

After breakfast we drove to the post office and I had 2 letters. Then we caught a bemo to Immigras with Les, Peter, Brenda, Sally & Tony. We have to extend our visa by 5 days. We had to pay 50 rp each to fill out a form and then 16,000 rp each for the visa. We then caught a 3 wheel bemo back to the city centre and tried to book on the Bali Indah to get a bus to Surabaya on the 29th, but it is full. We went shopping at the market and I bought some materials for 1200 rp and a wall hanging for 1500 rp. We then caught another bemo to a photographer to get Brad's passport photo taken. We then hopped on another bemo to go to the post office to get stamp duty and we never reached the post office but had a grand tour of the city. We then caught a bemo back to Kuta. We had lunch at Beer Garden and then went to book our bus seat to Surabaya for 2000 rp. We then went to Ann and Jeff’s at Legian and played Gin Rummy while it rained and rained. The rain didn’t look like stopping so we grabbed 2 elephant leaves which were huge and hopped under them to walk down the track to have dinner at the Rum Jungle. It was still raining after dinner so Brad and I drove back in pouring rain holding the leaf over us. It was hilarious and we were quite dry when we got home.
