Evening arrival into Amsterdam

The flight into London was right over the city and I had great views of the Tower of London, London Bridge, St Pauls Cathedral , The London Eye, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace - it ws so good!!!

I landed into Heathrow ( terminal 2) at 3.30pm but we had to sit on the tarmac waiting for our gate for 30 minutes. It is such a huge airport and took so long to get to terminal 4 ( long walk and short train ride) where I had to book into my KLM flight to Amsterdam. I was absolutely wrecked exhausted and just wanted to cry! I must have looked bad and when the KLM agent checked me in I didn't have any luggage allowance but she just booked in my backpack without charging me...nice!!!

We left at 6.30pm ( 7.30pm Netherlands time) and arrived in at 8.50pm - so just a quick 45 minutes flight. I got through immigration quickly and after trying to work out the train ticket machine ( needed someones help!!) to purchase a 5.20 E ticket for the 15 minute ride to Central Station

Walking out the back of the station to the river I easily found the ferry to catch over to the Noord area. It was then only a short 100 mete walk towards the very unusually shaped white eye shaped museum and A'Dam tower and I arrived right on dark at 9.45pm....perfect timing!

The hostel is huge and really nice. Big living areas and bar and I am in a nice 10 bed female dorm overlooking the canal for 31 E a night. I got myself sorted and was asleep just before 11pm
