Pikes Market and exploring islands

It was a pretty grey day but not raining so we took Nick & Madi down to the city and Pikes market.

After a pretty quick wander through – 2 year olds ( Ezra) in markets are not great though he & Alaiaya & Benaiah loved seeing the big salmon and crabs. We headed over the road to the Hot Dog shop near the original Starbucks where we grabbed some really good hot dogs for lunch and sat on the brick wall opposite to eat them.

Nick & Madi who were looking like a glamor couple were getting lots of attention from Asian tourists who wanted to take their photos.

Kristina took Ezra back home for asleep & we left Nick & Madi to wander the city for a few hours and we took A & B off for for an adventure walk in a park we had seen crossing the toll bridge over from Belleview. ( Foster, Duck and Marsh Island)

It ended up being a great walk through marshland & on long wooden bridges linking island to island. There were lots of ducks and cormorants to see and fun trails to walk on. We ended up opposite the U district & university in a lovely inner city area on the water. Mind you everything is on the water in Seattle !

On the way back to pick up Nick we the drove through the arbotoreum park near Capitol Hill which is a huge park & full of big trees.
