Drive from Casper Wyoming To Denver

The last day driving into Denver from Casper Wyoming took us around 4 hours. We slept in & took our time. The forecasted fresh snow had not happened overnight but it was bitterly cold with 80 km an hour winds pushing the – 1 temperature well below zero.

There was a wind warning sign on the highway saying not to tow trailers behind your car & we passed one car with its trailer flipped over.

The winds were 80 km an hour and blowing snow over the roads.

Brad found todays driving more challenging than the day of driving 350 miles on ice-packed roads.

He had to really hang on to the steering wheel as huge gusts came across the plains. It was still pretty with the treeless hills and plains covered in snow. We stopped in Cheyenne for a coffee before crossing into Colorado .

It was great to stop & stay at Rick and Debbie's and catch up! We had nice dinner out at the Cheesecake Factory in Boulder – it was again really cold walking around Boulder at night
