Drive around island with Leigh

I organised to be picked up early by the Oahu Express Shuttle Service to go to the airport to meet Leigh. Her luggage was picked up by the church and they dropped us to Enterprise Car rental where I hired a car which cost about $95 once you added in insurance.

We wanted to drive around most of the island and headed north through the middle of the island to Haleiwa. It was beautiful lush mountain scenery and at Haleiwa we stopped at a shrimp van to eat one of the famous coconut shrimp.

Heading along the coast now we soon came across Waimea Bay where we watched some guys way out catching some big waves. They were about 20 foot which is not big for here. Next was Pipeline Beach which was just wild but we walked along this famous beach that has houses right on the beach. Next was Sunset Beach and Turtle Cove Resort.

Heading down the next side of the island it was stunning with beautiful beaches, rocky points on the left and high lush green tropical mountains on our right. We stopped at a blowhole and gorgeous Hanauma Bay before dropping the car back at the airport. We were picked up by some people from the church and dropped to our hotel joined to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall. This would be our home for the next 6 days of conference. Hawaii is stunning ...in love!!!
