Montana, Wyoming, Idaho & Utah in 1 day!!!

Time to leave Montana & drive right through the park south, stunning scenery along the way with the beautiful ______mountains on our right as we headed south to Jackson Hole where we spent a couple of hours and had a good look around

In the centre of the town there was a park, the four corners of which formed openings which were under an arch of elk horns. My first thought was that the locals had killed all the poor creatures to attain this. However, a sign proclaimed that this was not so and that each year the elk shed their horns and grow new ones and the local scout groups are paid so much for each set of horns they find. So much for my suspicious mind

Next over the border into Idaho & then into Utah. Our next stop was Bear Lake half in Idaho and half in Utah. It was time to relax and our driver needed a well-deserved rest so we booked into Rendezvous Camping Park right on the edge of the lake for three nights in the Utah side. The boys had a wonderful time there as we hired a wave-runner and a catamaran and Noel and I enjoyed a couple of days there just lazing around and reading. Both of us, though, went out in the catamaran although the wind left much to be desired. However, the lake was of such beautiful shades of blue to turquoise surrounded by magnificent mountains, that it was very pleasant just being there absorbing it all.
