Santa Cruz to Carmel

Heading south I loved the town of Santa Cruz which was a real surf town & very cool. Nath & I walked for miles along the foreshore which was covered in pretty dune flowers & had lovely old houses opposite the beach. We ended up at a huge bay which was packed with surfers.

Further south was the beautiful town of Monterey & the rich town of Carmel with the famous Golf Course. The headland was full of interesting wind bent trees. We stayed a little bit inland where it wasn't as expensive.

We visited a Mission ( influence from the Mexicans) – lovely old church & Mexican architecture.
