Sightseeing the local area around Rotorua

After conference end church Leanne and her hubby took me around the local Rotorua area. We drove around the entire lake past Redwood Forests to Blue Lake and Green Lake. They are right next to each other and totally different colours!

On the west side of Rotorua, we visited the natural springs of Te Puna-a-Hangurua. It was a lovely walk around past giant Redwoods. The main spring is the biggest in New Zealand’s North Island and flows 4,500,00 litres of water each hour, after taking around 70 years to surface! Everywhere is incredibly beautiful.

We had dinner at Eat street right behind the Novotel Hotel

The next morning it was a beautiful drive back to Auckland airport through Hamiiton - rolling green hills, rivers and sheep and then back home
