4th July & Mesa Verde Anasazi Ruins

We spent 4th July in a small town near the border called Farmingon. Everyone was out in town with their pick ups & cars parked along the streets & people had their barbies set up cooking & ready to party & wait for the fireworks. Was a fun atmosphere.Next day we set over the border to visit Mesa Verde.

What an amazing place - Anasazi Indian Cliff dwelling going back to the 1300's. Was a couple of hours from Durango. Mesa Verde is spanish for "green table". The ancestral pueblo people made it their home for over 700 years from AD 600 to AD 1300
