Manoa Falls and Hanauma Bay

Booked the Manoa Falls tour online for $23. I was picked up in mini van at 7am and dropped back by 11am. It is the tallest accessible waterfall on Oahu and in the hills just behind Waikiki Beach.

It was a short uphill walk through incredibly green lush rainforest. Although only 4 miles from Waikiki that receives 30 inches of rain a year these hills receive an incredible 270 inches rain!! At the start of the walk was the film site for these movies': Lost

Jurassic park

Hawaii 5 – 0

Hunger games 2 It was a bit slippery and muddy so the downhill took lots of concentration.

An interesting fact about Waikiki is that it is a very small strip along the beach front - 2 miles long and 1 mile wide. In it there is an incredible 53 ABC stores selling beach gear and snack food. There are sometimes 2 per block! They are great and very handy store.

I had lunch at the hostel and then caught a bus to stunningly beautiful Hanauma Bay. I bought goggles and snorkels from an ABC store for $8 USD and only took enough money for the bus fare seeing as my belongings would be left on the beach. I caught the bus from outside the Apple store and it took about 20 minutes to get there. The bus only cost me $2.50 return as I only spent 2 hours out there. Entry fee was $7.50. It is so beautiful and the snorkelling was the best I have ever done. I swam beside large schools of the most colourful beautiful fish. The striped humi fish were everywhere. Unfortunately I didn't see any turtles.
