Exploring by Bike Day 1

We had booked bikes to hire through Classy Bike for $20 for 24 hours and they are even dropped off to you with map of suggested rides! Amazingly cheap! We headed to Point Loma Lighthouse a 7 hour ride. First off we enjoyed exploring nearby Balboa Park going down El Prado with lovely old Spanish buildings to the Plaza Down 6th Ave and then through parks along Harbour Drive to the waterfront .Past the piers & the airport to Point Loma Lighthouse built in 1854 We paid $5 to get into Cabrillo National Monument overlooking Coronado Island - Naval station Rode through US Naval reserve and cemeteries full of thousands of white crosses Named after the Spanish explorer Cabrillo the first European to set foot on the west coast of the USA
