Brooklyn Bridge - love this bridge

I have always wanted to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge so today was my chance!!! I caught the subway over to Brooklyn ( High St A-C station) which was right near to the start of the bridge. I am so glad I was advised to walk towards Manhattan instead of walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn. All the way there was iconic views of the New York skyline. It was beautiful day and I was totally in my happy place - being outside walking and exploring and surrounded by beauty! The Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883 and was one of 3 bridges linking Brooklyn to Manhattan.

It took me 3 hours to walk back to Central Park meandering through all the neighbourhoods past:

City Hall Law courts with the massive steps from Law & Order Chinatown Little Italy where I had a local cake Soho Washington Square Park with the big arch and fountain from Friends Greenwich Village Flatiron Times square

I met back up with Leigh and we caught the subway to Carrol St Station at Brooklyn ( 25 minutes) for a meeting. Love the neighbourhood with the brownstones, local cafes and village style living. Could so live somewhere like this ! Brooklyn has 2.5 million people

After the meeting we picked up our bags from the hotel and did the big walk back to Grand Central Station to catch the train back to Lara's at Pelham.
