Relax day in the local hood

Slept in until 10.30am .....must have been all that walking in the sun yesterday! Got my map and followed a recommended route around Allentown area about 1.5km from the hostel. One block along the whole street was closed and blocked off with emergency vehicles...not sure what was happening.

The route I walked was in the historic homes district and I walked along several beautiful quiet tree lined streets with the cutest american houses with the swing on the front porch and flowers in the front garden. Just my kind of urban living place!

What made it interesting was a couple of lively streets full of bars and restaurants & shops. Hung out and had lunch at the Quaker Bonnet restaurant and had the best turkey, cranberry sauce & salad sandwich with my favourite oat & raisin cookies. Then indulged in a back massage - sore back from lifting heavy suitcases the last few weeks!

Back at Main Street I explored down Chippewa st and 3 blocks from the hostel was a few blocks full of restaurants & clubs. Grabbed some nachos for dinner and hung out at the hostel in the evening.
