Kampong Glam & Orchard Rd

Set out to explore Kampong Glam Area which is the Muslim part of town right near Little India. Has some big mosques with big gold domed roofs. Again it was full of interesting little streets & lanes to explore & felt like you had entered another country.

Again got to try more yummy food & loved a sweet called Onde Onde that was filled with brown sugar syrup. Sat & ate at this cafe next to an elderly couple who had about 6 dishes to share between them. They were locals & this is how they live & eat.

Eating & shopping is just so cheap. This part of town is full of tailors & material shops with such beautiful fabrics. Bought a sarong & top.

Headed off on the train to look at Orchard Road - massive street full of sooo many shopping centres with designer shops & high end shopping. Wanted to look at another shophouse area just off Orchard Rd. Again it was a quiet laned area tucked away between busy main roads.

Back to the hostel to have a shower & grab my bags & vatch the 2 trains to the airport for my 9pm flight. Loved Singapore & didn't get to see everything I wanted to in the 3 days.
