Nath & I drove motorbikes!!

Loved today in this beautiful karst countryside.

We had booked through our hotel to have 2 motorbikes come at 10am & take us out for the day. We headed to Mua cave on the backroads to Tam Coc where we climbed up 468 steps to this lookout. ( 60,000 dong each - $4 AUS) More killer stairs but so worth it for the view.

The rice fields far below looked like a sea of green & the karst mountains rising out of them was amazing from above.

On the other side we looked down to the river we had rowed on yesterday & could see the rowboats going into one of the caves. There was lots of goats on the mountain & we saw over the villages dotted in the area. No blue sky today - all grey but still so beautiful.

When we got back to our drivers we asked if we could ride the motorbikes & they happily obliged & sat behind us.

The let us drive for the rest of the day along the roads & through villages & only asking us to swap if the road/track got bad. It was sooo much fun & just loved driving the bike through this amazing countryside. At times we had light rain we drove through which made it even more magical!!! Had lunch in a village - really bad greasy fries! They had a big snake in a cage at the front - he was on the menu!.

Went to Kengha Village where we had a " foot rower" take ius for a row through this lovely village.

Got back to town & grabbed the bicycles to pick up some things from the market & explore the alleys & lanes around our hotel. Nathan says I am obsessed with alleys & I think it is true! Back to the guesthouse & joined the 3 boaties again for dinner.

Booked through the hotel a 2 day Halong Bay trip for $70 US each & leave in the morning. Motorbikes today cost $9 US each
