1 week in Mexico - Puerto Vallarta

Had a 1 week Mexican adventure with Leigh, Leanne Tullis & Lisa Traylor. They had all totally blessed me & paid for everything for me to come, even spending money, & I had the most amazing time !!! I loved Mexico straight away - the architecture & cobbled streets is all very cool.

The old town had steep hills with cobble stoned streets & great Spanish style homes. There was a great courtyard beside the Guadelhope the main church. Had an old town square. The malecon was the long beachfront walk where everyone goes at night to buy local food & listen to buskers. Along the beachfront were lots of sculptures

We walked along this long beach exploring near the first hotel we stayed in which was the old town. We walked over the headland & came to small beaches where these huge homes had private entrances to the beaches

Lisa Traylor had her first magnum icecream – just like in Australia & it was so good to have an aussie ice-cream again!!

Then we went to a time share unit in the resort part of town. We caught a bus around to hot dusty little beachside place called Buerias – which was very poor

We decided to be adventurous & rent moped bikes but they had run out so instead we got a beach buggy. Leigh was brave & volunteered to drive, while the rest of us prayed!!! The Mexicans were crazy drivers so getting out of town was fun!

We headed down the coast & stopped at Mismaloya & past Los Arcos ( the 3 rocks)

Past Mismaloya we turned inland & came to Chicos Paradise which was a little village & restaurant on this stream with huge boulders

Inland from here we took a long bumpy dirt road past little villages & came to El Eden where Arnold Schwarzenegger filmed ' Predator". Leigh slid over the rocks into this pool

This parrot was in the restaurant at Chicos Paradise

Back in town we had dinner at this great restaurant called Zapata which overlooked the Malecon & the spectacular sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The food was really good & they had a band that played unusual instruments & sounded very exotic

We took a day boat cruise Luna De Miel for $20 & included breakfast , lunch & snorkelling at Los Arcos. At a beach we stopped at I paid a few dollars to have my photo taken holding an iguana

After lunch the boat took us to another lovely beach that is not accessible except by boat called Quimixto. We hired trail horses to take us few miles inland to a waterfall. The saddles were wooden & so uncomfortable!!!
