York - St. Raphael's Guest House - overcast and cool

Slept in until 9 am and had breakfast. Met Elsie from the Hall and left at 11 am. Drove back through Kings Lyn and Long Sutton where there is a church with the highest wooden twisted spire. Drove to Boston . Nice town with high tower on church. Tried to find Boston Stump but got lost. Drove through Humberside across the new Humber Suspension Bridge. Magnificent huge bridge - toll cost two pounds. Countryside in North Yorkshire very pretty. York lovely old town. Found place to stay - St Raphael’s Guest House just off Bootham. Nice black and white timbered place. Bedroom very nice 6 pound 50 each. Owner very helpful and friendly. Gave us map and told us places to go. Gave us cup of tea and I had a sleep as feeling sick. Went walking to find place to eat. Lots of little lanes. Ate at Plunkets with good music.
