Beautiful scenery & snow topped mountains

Mallwyd - Brigand's Inn - 4/3/82 - drizzly.

Seeing as our muffler was playing up we dropped the car at a garage and walked around town for 3 hours. Did some shopping and morning tea. Picked up car and looked for horse riding places but all closed. Drove through Builth Wells and Rhyade where we bought some lunch. Drove through Llanidloes to Newtown and Welshpool. Pretty countryside and lovely towns. Saw Powis Castle near Welshpool, but closed. Drove to Mallwyd - most magnificent scenery - beautiful high treeless mountains with lovely valleys with streams and waterfalls. Snow on top of mountains. Lots of sheep. Stayed at Brigand’s Inn in middle of nowhere - very old with maze of passages and staircases. Room had beautiful view of mountains. Sat in lounge with log fire and ate dinner.
