Salisbury

We had lunch in a pub and drove on towards Salisbury. We detoured to Cerne Abbas to see the chalk man. In the side of a mountain in chalk is carved a man done by a prehistoric man. It has a club in its hand. It was of enormous size and nobody knows how old it is. The markings in the chalk are not a bit faint and nobody knows why grass hasn't grown over it. We drove on and just around the corner were war medals engraved in the chalk. There were 5 medals. These were quite recent.

When arriving in Salisbury we looked for accommodation. We got in at the Old Mill Hotel in West Harnham only a 10 minute walk from the city. It was by the River Nadder and ducks swam all around. We were constantly throwing bread to them. As it was shallow we waded around. I really loved feeding the ducks. We looked around town, bought some dinner, went back to the hotel, ate and went to sleep.
